Winemaker | Richard Langford
2018 Barossa Winemaker of the Year!
Richard joined Two Hands in July 2019 and came with high praise from many present and past Barossa Winemakers. He has worked in the Barossa, Rutherglen, Hunter Valley, Mudgee and the South of France.
Richard has a proven ability to work with viticulturists to ensure that quality begins and occurs in the vineyard. When not in the winery, you can find him enjoying the spoils of the great outdoors – fishing, bushwalking with his two english springer spaniels Ollie & Quinn and camping with friends and family.
ARES | THE FLAGSHIP SERIES | BAROSSA VALLEY SHIRAZ
With a strong commitment to the philosophy of ‘quality without compromise’, Two Hands Wines use a strict classification process to ensure that only the best barrels each vintage are deemed worthy of being bottled as a Flagship Series wine.
Six months after vintage, a selection of barrels from our best parcels of fruit are carefully assessed by Chief Winemaker Richard Langford. Each year, only a handful of barrels come in at the top of the class, scoring an A+; these barrels become wines in our Flagship Series. These ultra-premium wines represent the very finest varietal selections from each vintage.
Named after the Greek Gods of ancient myth with mighty Ares at the head, these Flagship Series wines exhibit exceptional aging ability and structure and will mature for many years in your cellar.
HOLY GRAIL | THE Single Vineyard Series | Barossa Valley Shiraz
We’ve been strong proponents of regionality since the early days at Two Hands, showcasing how different the Shiraz grape can be through the sub-regions of the Barossa along with fruit sourced from the Two Hands estate and our band of growers.
Perhaps one of our proudest releases, the Holy Grail Shiraz is an intensely aromatic wine with an elegance and length on the palate that is truly captivating. Its name is inspired by the Monty Python movie and our quest to find the perfect vineyard site to crown our estate.

Bella’s Garden | The Garden Series | Barossa Valley Shiraz
Winner of the 2023 Barossa Wine Show Tanunda House Trophy for Best 2021 Shiraz.
Bella’s Garden is a blend of our finest Shiraz barrels from across the region. The Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, with existing plantings of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre vines that are over 125 years old.
Two Hands has produced this wine since the first vintage in 1999 and it has become a favourite among many of our followers and Shiraz lovers everywhere.
Bella’s Garden red label colour reflects the red soils of the Barossa’s Western Ranges where all the Two Hands estate vineyards and cellar door are located.
Gnarly Dudes | The Picture Series | Barossa Valley Shiraz

Every wine in the Picture Series has its own inspiration, our own take on popular culture. With some old school polaroid imagery by friend and photographer Don Brice and a quirky back label descriptor, the aim is to bring a smile to your face when you pick up the bottle, reminding you that wines should be approachable and of course… fun.
